Why Believing in Children?

As a parent and an educator, I created Believing in Children as a place to share resources that help support the wonders of childhood as well as the joys and challenges of raising young children.

My background is in education and have worked as an early childhood teacher, elementary teacher, English Language Teacher, Tutor and Educational Consultant. I am a certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and a certified Bringing Baby Home Educator. I live on Bainbridge Island, outside of Seattle with my husband and two young children. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and exploring the local beaches with my children.
